AWIP at Railroad Square Music Festival

The Another World is Possible Coalition leaders participated in Railroad Square Music Festival in 2017 and 2018 by connecting our creative arts community to direct service project opportunities across a spectrum of community-based initiatives. Inviting attendees and exhibitors from the North Bay Community Engagement Fair 2017 and Future Visions Through Music, Art, Politics at The Arlene Francis Center to join in a magical engagement of creative expressions & inspiring explorations! 

The mission of the Railroad Square Music Festival is to expand the local music community by bringing more music to more people, encouraging local performers to shoot for the stars; showing that the North Bay is a vibrant cultural and artistic hub.

Leadership Engagement Breakfast

Held at SSU on the first day of the Sustainable Enterprise Conference, the Another World is Possible Coalition invited over 200 local leaders to an engaging brainstorm session covering the One Planet Principles. Connect with like-minded organizations, explore shared values with a diverse spectrum of local groups, and share your vision for Sonoma County as we build a foundation for collective impact. This session aims to cultivate synergy, collaboration, and a holistic (and effective) ecosystem of change-makers, leaders, and coalitions of every kind. This gathering will help foster cross-collaboration, cultivate shared visioning and project discussion, and create an opportunity for your organization to share how we as a community can support your success!

North Bay Community Engagement Fair

On January 29th - a FREE Community Engagement Fair, a day-long exhibition of organizations and community groups from across the North Bay looking for volunteers and activists ready to engage in action for a better world across a spectrum of justices. Whether constituents have a few hours a month or all the time in the world, specific skills or a can-do attitude, whether your passion and call is towards the environment, immigrant rights, the LGBTQ community, cultural arts, food sovereignty, housing advocacy… you’ll find something to spark you into direct and positive action. This event is a grassroots, non-partisan, collective effort aimed at civic engagement - welcoming groups and individuals of ALL political, economic and spiritual beliefs that promote love and equality.

On Friday, October 7th, Santa Rosa’s Arlene Francis Center will transform into a showcase for progressive visions of a more just, resilient and people-powered future. We invite you to experience art, music, and dance of every kind at this one-night-only affair, art and movement that envisions the legacy that our generation will leave behind—think immediate actions with a long-term vision and what it will take to build a future based upon the three pillars of social justice, environmental resilience and equitable local economies. Artists include: Interactive Political Literacy Revolutionary Art Marshall House Project Jogo de Capoeira Aztec Dancers DJ Novella Spoken Word Rebellion Samba Drumming Burnside - the band Kayatta Pattan and Mama Crow
